Dear Mr. Thompson:

On July 25 I sent you copies of correspondence regarding the visit of Professor
Tang Chih-sung to the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at Stanford University.

I have heard through Professor Tang's sister, who lives near San Francisco, that
Professor Tang is having difficulty obtaining a J2 visa to enable his 16 year old son
to accompany him on his visit here.  I am not sure as to the nature
of the problem because of distance and language problems.  I would appreciate
it if you could look into this matter for me and assist in any way that you can.
